Town Quay to St Marys

The SF2 currently does this on match days. Do we think there would be value in a more regular service with intermediate stops? extended past mt pleasent, empres rd?

Coxswain That area definitely needs better bus routes/frequency, but I don't think Town Quay is really the best route - the U1A already does Town Quay to city centre & it goes every 8 minutes during the day. Feels like there'd be a lot of overlap.

Coxswain what way does SF2 go? The route isn't on the city bus map.
Mount pleasent level crossing will be very unfavourable due frequency and length of shutting

No overlap with U1 that I can see, B*19 however....

I was thinking if we extended it further up past the stadium to princes street where it would connect with buses going out over northern bridge and then on past the empress road industrial area and st denys train station then up to portswood where it connects with lots of bus routes. it would give lots of alternate routes and much better access to the industrial areas

It is a nice little route with good connections to other public transport routes and gets into some undeserved areas
Google reckons 15 mins, call it 25 for route timing (same as U1 via Town), 5 mins layover each end gives an hourly service or two for half hourly (add a bus in peaks to keep frequency)
Unfortunately one long hold at the level crossing completely wipes out the layover time and you leave late for next trip, get stopped by the crossing again (likely) and the schedule is completely thrown
