What do people feel was successful about the brief bus gate experiment

improved bus punctuality
better driver experience (for bus drivers) on Broadway
Bus stop enforcement cameras have drastically reduced twits parking on the bus stops

Agree - my bus was definitely more reliable during the trial. I also found myself staying on the Broadway for longer because it was actually pleasant & not chock full of cars!

I liked how much quieter it was overall similar to what was said above. It made it a much more pleasant place to be and walk through.

I actually shopped in Portswood for the first time once the bus gate was in operation.

As a bus driver, it is frustrating to see it cancelled. Now takes longer to get through again. People drive like idiots there again.

Being Autistic means it was a much better experience with the bus gate. Cycling was felt far safer too. I probably won't do as much or any shopping there now.

needed to be better connected to safe cycle routes across the city, it was great in broadway but pretty naff elsewhere
